Inspired by Day of the Dead

This year’s Halloween approach was inspired by the famous Mexican holiday, 'the Day of the Dead'.   Halloween Inspired by Day of the Dead   I have always been absolutely fascinated by the traditions connected to this holiday, honoring the deceased, building home altars, by the passion of family and friends celebrating their beloved departure souls, by the details of the costumes, and most of all, by the colorful beautiful flower arrangements. The purpose is to celebrate the life of the loved ones who are no longer among us.

The parade is a wonderful mix of creative costumes and natural flowers.

We did not intend to scare anyone, but to combine dark make-up with our flower designs. The arrangement was specially designed for this theme and has an approximately 2,500 needle base, dressed with dahlias, molly black dianthus, astrantia, gloriosa, begonia leaves, and viburnum berries. The crown on the head is made of asparagus, molly black dianthus, vanda orchids, phalaenopsis orchids, dahlias, begonia leaves, and rhipsalis.     I hope you will enjoy our Halloween gift, cause we sure did have a lot of fun with our makeup, beautiful natural setting, and enchanted flowers.     Photo credits: Simona Oancea

We all need to discover the world of flowers, enjoy the great beauty they have to offer us and in turn teach people to offer love and show more happiness to those around them! This job is pure art, although we do not refer to ourselves as artists, but as art lovers who enjoy working with flowers and love nature!"
